What we deliver

Battery storage installation

Store cheap and self-generated power — new installs and retrofits, at 0% VAT.

A battery is what turns solar from a daytime discount into an energy strategy: it holds your generation for the evening, charges cheap on off-peak tariffs, and can keep essentials running through an outage. Standalone batteries have been 0% VAT since February 2024 — a retrofit to an existing solar system is often the highest-return upgrade available.

Sizing is where most installs go wrong. We model your actual half-hourly usage against your tariff and generation, then size the battery to the cycles it will really run — not the biggest unit on the price list.

What's included

Home batteries typically cost £2,000–£5,000 installed depending on capacity, at 0% VAT. Retrofits to existing solar are usually a single day’s work.

Questions we're asked about battery storage installation

Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?

Yes — an AC-coupled battery retrofits to almost any existing array without touching the original inverter. It has been 0% VAT since February 2024 and is usually installed in a day.

What size battery do I need?

It depends on your evening usage, your tariff and your generation. We model your real consumption first; most homes land between 5 and 15 kWh. Oversizing wastes capital on cycles you will never run.

Will a battery work in a power cut?

Only if specified with backup capability — many are not. Tell us it matters and we design it in, including which circuits stay live.

How long do home batteries last?

Modern lithium units are typically warrantied for 10 years or a set energy throughput. We track battery health in monitoring so degradation is measured, not guessed.
